I have always wanted a chalkboard table but I thought that it was going to be a big project or that it would be impractical or expensive but when my roomate got a new kitchen table for our house I decided to take the plunge! And it was the easiest thing ever. I'm actually kind of upset I didn't do it sooner.
The entire project took about twenty minutes of work time and Mollyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06570319787600363871noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5424509047804287207.post-48603017348153107792013-08-18T09:00:00.000-05:002013-08-18T09:00:05.864-05:00Weekend Links

I'm kind of on a health kick. I'll admit that it probably won't last too long but I'm determined to make the most of it. Since breakfast is the most important meal of the day (and my favorite) I thought that would be a good place to start.
I'll bake in the morning but I'll only make pancakes or dutch babies or muffins. I can't convince myself to bake something healthy so early. So I Mollyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/06570319787600363871noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5424509047804287207.post-14891164506387296552013-07-12T19:27:00.002-05:002013-07-12T19:29:52.040-05:00Weekend Links

After I moved into my new house, I found that I had a lot of empty wall space. I looked at oversized prints and posters but I wasn't happy with the idea of having so many on my walls. So, I started looking for other things to decorate with but I couldn't find anything I really liked. I decided to make something with dimension to add depth and interest.

This weekend I went on a road trip with my best friend to Gruene, Texas! We ate delicious pulled pork sandwiches, visited Texas' oldest dance hall and went to a whole bunch of antique shops.
We found these gigantic windchimes. Honestly, the picture doesn't even capture how enormous they are, they were probably five feet high.

It's good to be back! I've survived finals week, moving and traveling home for the holidays! Hopefully things here can go back to normal, at least for a little while!
This weekend my parents and I went on a little road trip to see my sister in Virginia Beach. It was so lovely!
I hope you had a wonderful weekend as well! XOXO!

Lately, I've been seeing lots of people (gentleman and ladies!) layering jean jackets. It's a brilliant way to take the chambray look into the colder months! As an added bonus, it's a great way to stay cozy, which is really important if you're anything like me!

As I mentioned earlier, I'm trying to expand my hair style repertoire. I decided to dip my toes into the fancy braiding styles with the fishtail braid! After watching several tutorials, and taking a deep breath here's how it turned out...
Here's what I did...
